I was arrested in Maryland for concealment of a deadly weapon and I recieved a stet docket. What exactly is a stet docket? Is a felony conviction? Can it be changed from a stet docket to case dismissed?
The stet docket is an inactive docket maintained by the prosecutor. I would assume that this means you received a deferral and, if you stay out of trouble, the prosecutor will eventually dismiss the charge. I have no access to your case file or the prosecutor and thus cannot investigate the status of your case for you.
Yes. That is correct. I recieved the stet docket in October 2005 and if I didn't get into any more trouble for a year then my case woud be closed. Currently my case has been closed for 3 1/2 years and is eligable for expungment. The clerck at the court said that the paper work from my case has been shreded because my case is so old. Could my case be reopened after 3 1/2 years? Also is my case concidered dismissed? My final deposition just says STET.
Can anyone help me?
