Getting a H-1B Visa After Getting, but Not Using, a F1
    Hi All

I have been working as Software Developer from last three years for a MNC company in India. In February 2010, i got my F1 visa approved and i am planning to leave to U.S. by August 2010(I deferred my admission from summer term to Fall term).

My Company is not aware of my F1 visa and filed my H1B visa.

    Here are my Doubts:

    1) What are my chances of getting H1B visa as F1 visa is valid till 2015 and i haven't used it.
    2) Should i drop my plans of applying for H1B visa?
    3) Am i on disadvantage side for applying H1B visa(having F1 visa approved)

Note: I haven't travelled on my F1 visa.

Thanks in Advance for your suggestions

Re: Chances of H1b Stamping if F1 is Not Used
    1. The F1 shouldn't have any relevance to the H1B application.

    2. Why?

    3. An H1B would allow you to work in the U.S., doesn't prevent your attending school, and doesn't prevent you from seeking to immigrate. Much more flexible.
