Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods
My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina
Ok so my girlfriend got arrested and is being charged for felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods. She is a maid and supposedly she was videotaped opening a clients jewelry box to clean and dust. The owners said there were 3 necklaces missing after she cleaned and she claims she didnt take anything which is probably bologny. Anyways, she was arrested once before for theft but not convicted, and she had a similar issue where a homeowner accused her of stealing jewelry but the homeowner never pressed charges on her. I think she definitely stole the necklaces and pawned them. My question is for Lincoln County, NC to charge her with felony possession of stolen goods as well as felony larceny would that be a slam dunk case for them? Do you think they have solid evidence? And being that she has a past with being arrested but never convicted would the judge take that into consideration when making his verdict? Also since this is her first true conviction what type of sentence do you think she would recieve?? Once again this is Lincoln County, NC.
Re: Really Need Advice and Help on Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods
How much dusting is required inside a jewelry box?
Re: Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods
Exactly, I think it was stolen. What do you think the outcome of this might be?? This is her first possible conviction but not her first arrest.
Thx for your help
