Piercing the Corporate Veil of a Homeowner's Association
When I incorporated my business in the state of Alabama, my attorney sternly warned me about the potential personal liability of piercing my corporate veil.
If I can find evidence sufficient to pierce the corporate veil of the HOA, can I open all the members up to the possibility of civil action against each individual?
Thanks,
BRB
Re: Piercing the Corporate Veil of a Homeowner's Association
If you can find a legal basis to pierce the corporate veil, and a legal basis to hold individual board members responsible for the alleged tort, then you can attempt to do so. As you've shared no facts, we can't give you a better answer. Talk to your lawyer.

Thanks for your reply and sorry, this was kind of an extension of another thread located here: http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98120
I should have just posted it there rather than starting a new topic.
