Can Customer Use a Collection Agency Against a Service Provider
We have a service contract signed by our business customer that clearly stated no refunds. We delivered services as agreed (and then some), but the customer wasn't happy and wanted an unreasonable refund.
So now, the customer decided to get a collection agency after us. The collections agency is treating us as a debtor even though we don't owe any money! We clearly don't have a debtor relationship by any means.
My question is...what recourse of action can be taken to prevent the consumer and collection agency from making these frivolous claims?

Tell the collection agency that the claim is without merit and they are not to contact you again on the matter. Do it in writing, certified, receipt required, and in response to any phone call you receive from them. Do not provide the collection agency any information other than that.
