Trial by Declaration - Online Status
I got a traffic ticket on November 2009 and filed a Trial by Declaration. I filed the TBD in time through Fedex and got a confirmation it was delivered on time but never got any reply form the court. Now I'm checking at my status and this is what I see.
I just don't know wether that court date means I have to personally appear in court, or the TBD already took place or it's a trial de novo. I'm so confused and can't get a human being to talk on the LASuperiorCourt phone system! Please let me know how your cases turned out. Thank yoU!!

Re: Trial by Declaration Online Status
There is no longer a human being to speak to in LA County regarding your traffic tickets. Unfortunately, that department was eliminated.
You'll need to go down to the courthouse personally if you want to get a resolution to your problem.
Re: Trial by Declaration Online Status
CourClerk,
Thank you for your prompt answer! I will follow your advise and go to the courthouse personally to see what's going on with my TBD. I will write back on the forum once I talk to them and hope it'll be helpful for other people in my same situation.

my difference is the new appearace date says "in TBD". It also give me options to choose morning, evening, or night court.
Honestly I dont know what to do and feel like maybe I should have just paid the ticket. SO MUCH HASSLE!
Can you please tell me what happened when you went into court? I'd like to know before I take time off work to get this straightened out. Thank you.
