have you try the phone tricks like the others do.? works for me, or you meant "REAL PERSON" like someone in the supervisor level or up.?
Re: EDD Help for California
How was it that you didn't know how much you were making? At least, they would have had to pay you minimum wage. You certainly knew how many hours you worked.
Re: EDD Help for California
Patty, I work production and was hired last minute for a week of reshoots on a movie. Wages are different movie to movie, we aren't paid like normal employees are (we get meal penalties and such every few hours). Sometimes they are higher or lower depending on the studio. Also, you start to lose track of how much you actually worked, in this case it was 74.2 hours in five days!
Re: EDD Help for California
Perhaps someone can help me out. I filed a claim and recieved an award letter. I had a phone interview shortly there after and things got very strange. I recieved a letter from another department stating they needed proof I worked for my previous employer. I submitted a W-2 for 2009. Now this is where I need help. I met the eligibility requirements but now I am being denied benefits for the following reasons: "Reported wages in 093 is a settlement payment. No services performed per Section 601 CUIC. Wages not allowed per Section 926 CUIC".
I did recieve back pay for hours worked and state/fed taxes were taken out.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
Re: EDD Help for California
Rich, you should have started your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's.
However, I will answer here because this is probably pretty easy. You did not EARN the wages in third quarter 2009; you were just PAID them in 2009. They were earned previously, most likely prior to the considered base period, based on when you filed your claim.
