Domestic Violence, Menacing, False Imprisonment and Harassment
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado

my husband, and i got into a fight my sister called 911 when i tripped (i know how it sounds but i did honestly trip) anyways the police said that he had a gun and held it at me. i tried to explain why he had a gun, but it was hard and i got freaked out when the cop yelled in my face saying he tried to kill me.

anyways i am not bruised and i got the police report. that 3 officers statements don't match. oddly my sisters statement and scott;'s statement match the closed. and mine, not written by me but the officer that yelled at me, is so far from what i said. its not funny

my sister and i *the only witness the da have other then the cops* refuse to testify unless they fix my statement and make it the truth. he never had a gun pointed at me, i never said that, the cops told us that. the da refuses and says "we see you has a victim i hope you change your mind"

they say they have a recording but i dont see how, even if they do, they would know i was confused and ranting about how i dont understand why he'd do that, and why the officer said that he did.

do they have a case without me and my sister?

    I am curious.

What is the GOOD reason he had a gun?

LOL, y'all are such assholes. I have to watch what I say on these forums because y'all don't sugarcode anything.

    Well, that was helpful.

(And it should be "sugarCOAT", btw)

And, of course, doesn't answer my question.

There are very good reasons why most of us DON'T sugarcoat things. First, we're all volunteers, and most of us have busy lives, families, jobs, etc. - so sugarcoating takes our limited time and means responding to fewer inquiries, so most of us get right to the point (unless we've had too much coffee, in which case you might end up getting a book!). The more practical reasons have to do with the realities of the judicial system: Juries don't sugarcoat their findings. Judges don't sugarcoat sentences. Public defenders don't have TIME to sugarcoat anything, while private attorneys will sugarcoat anything as long as you're willing to pay them to be on the clock to do so, knowing that the outcome will be the same whether they sugarcoat for the client or not. So it really serves little to no purpose.
