Turning Myself In On a Felony Warrant for Theft
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington

For many reasons I was obligated to leave my legal issues behind, and fix my life. I am trying to go back and fix what I left. I have been setting up payment plans with the courts for my past due fines and fees. Also trying to round up any warrants I have. So far I have found one. It is for felony theft 2, and the warrant was issued 4-4-09. My question is what kind of punishment am I looking at for turning myself in over a year later, with a past record of theft. I am currently looking for a lawyer and have plans on turning myself in, in july of 2010. But am trying to be as prepared as I possibly could be. Thank you for your time.

I suggest retaining a lawyer to negotiate a resolution of the charge for you, so that (if possible) you know exactly what your sentence will be when you turn yourself in on the charge.
