    Help with Emancipation in Wisconsin
Ok im 16 and a sophmore in highschool. I have a job and go to school. I thought about emancipation back in Oct. of 2005 because I live in Wisconsin and have been for most of my life but my mom decided since she just broke up with her boyfriend she needed to move down to Texas suddenly. I couldent find anything about emancipation in Wisconsin so i ended up moving to Texas for three weeks. My mom then moved me back to Wisconsin which I had no problem with except for the fact that I was 45 minutes away from Milwaukee where I used to live. My mom then decided that this wasent working and tried to move me back to Texas so now I live with my friend back in Milwaukee. My mom never ended up going to Texas and is now trying to make me move back in with her and its really hard for me emotionally being moved back and fourth, switching schools constently, me and my friend arent getting along very well, and I just dont feel comfortable in my moms house because we argue non stop. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with this emancipation since I cant find anything online about it.

    Thanks

    Wisconsin Emancipation Law
Wisconsin has no emancipation statute. There is case law suggesting that it is possible to emancipate through lawful marriage, or active duty service in the armed forces. Niesen v. Niesen, 38 Wis. 2d 599; 157 N.W.2d 660 (1968)

I am currently dealing with this situation with my step daughter who lives in wisconsin. I have talked with the child support agency and if you move out, you can contact the child support agency in whatever county your case is through and file through them and they will direct any support payment to you. Just make sure that you have a stable place to stay, and this does not mean that you need your own apartment. you can stay with a friend and their family as long as it is a stable address.

That's not correct. Child support is payable to the parent, not the child.

A child support agency cannot ignore the terms of the child support order, and route the money to the child.
