Ticket Mistake
My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Illinois
I just received a traffic citation for speeding. Through six years of driving I was ticket free until a month ago. Now today I received my second citation for speeding. I am not arguing the ticket itself, but the officer wrote down these details about my car on the ticket:
"Year:2011 / Make:BMW / Color:BLK"
Okay unless I am mistaken year 2011 cars aren't even being made currently, my car is a black bmw but it is only a 2004. I am just curious if this is grounds for dismissal of the ticket.
Any advice would be great. I enrolled in the "traffic safety school" for my first ticket so I will not have that one on my record as long as I stay ticket free for 6 months. If I could get this one removed that would be wonderful.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: Ticket Mistake
Minor clerical errors aren't ordinarily enough to convince a court to dismiss a ticket.

Re: Ticket Mistake
Would it even be worth trying to argue?

Re: Ticket Mistake
In my personal opinion, almost ALL tickets are worth fighting -- just not on the grounds you've listed.

Re: Ticket Mistake
This error COULD work in your favor, I am not an expert in law, but I KNOW the differences between an 04 BMW and a 2010 or 2011 BMW
