Three Tickets at Once in California
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California.
I receieved 3 tickets at once.
    1)21453(a)red light violation
    2)12951(a)dl not in position
    3)16028(a)no proof of insurance
In California we just had the rain storms.. My windshield wipers were going bad so I decided to change them out. After working all day at midnight I drove to Walmart(3 blocks from my work) and replaced them in the rain in the parking lot. I then proceeded to the gym to meet a friend(also a few blocks away)At approximately 2am I was on my way driving home and as Im getting on the freeway my WIPER FLLIES OFF. I decide to Uturn because its allowed. And put on my hazard lights. I make one more u-turn to look for the wiper I decide i can't find the wiper so I pull over and call my friend i just went to the gym with. He walked down and met me. We still had no luck. He says he'll go with me back to walmart and help me put back on new wipers. As i'm driving approximately 5mph with hazards on a car begins tailgating me I pull to the side so they can pass and they do... I proceed. Another car gets behind me again and when i come to the red light i roll through so they can turn to the outside lane ...and cop lights come on. He asked me what happened why i was driving so slow. I told him what had happened and he just made jokes about fastening windshield wipers. And how I have a lot of tickets. A seatbelt ticket and a cellphone. And didnt take the situation seriously.. He asked for my license and i asked if i could just give him the my number because it was somewhere in my purse. He said sure..yet gave me a ticket n/e way.
    Long story short.
Anyone have any advice so i can fight this?
My ticket in the mail is 1559.
i was thinking of arguing that i couldnt see it was raining. he was following close behind me. no one was on the road.

You say you didn't stop for the red light. You make no claim that you had proof of insurance, or that you had a driver's license in your possession. If you had insurance and a valid license, it's worth trying to get those dismissed. What's your defense for rolling through a red light instead of coming to a full stop?

my defense is my windshield wiper came off and because it was raining i couldnt see. i was trying to allow the car behind me to pass so i could get out of the way since they were following so close. i was scared because being out at that time isnt very safe. i do have receipts proving i bought the wipers within 15 minutes of my ticket and before the gym.

I'm unsure of the correct way to portray this to the court. I believe it was reasonable cause .. i didnt intentionally run the light. And i had both my license and insurance.
