LPR Marrying a Fiance in the U.S., Who Will Then Apply for an F1 Visa
So, my future wife already has a vaild I-20. She plans to come to US on visa waiver and then get the marriage registered to LPR. Once the marriage is registered, she then will apply for the F1 visa once she returns to her country after the marriage.
I (LPR) will be ready to file for citizenship in the next 6 months.
Should I wait for my citizenship and then file her petition for GC or can I send in the application together when filing N400.
Will this procedure hinder my wife's GC as the immigration might say that the date of marriage is prior to obtaining F1 visa, and this was an intent to immigrate?

If you're going to be a citizen within six months, I would wait.

I make no promises about what the USCIS might infer from marriage dates, particularly if you have never lived together anywhere but the U.S. Why not wait to marry?
