OK, so.... I'm 15 years old, soon to be 16 in August from British Columbia Canada. I'm having too many problems going on at home... I hate it here. My father is abusive to me and my sister, and they are too over protective. I'm not allowed to leave the house on my own, I can't hang out with friends without getting a phone call every five minutes. I'm a good kid, I don't do drugs, don't drink, I'm NOT sexually active in any way.
Is the abuse and overprotectiveness good grounds to get an emancipation?
If not, what could I do to rid myself of my dilemma of problematic parents? What can I do to get away from the abuse and overprotective parents?
I hope you guys can help me out with my question.

And as for the 'not liking my parents' thing... It's not that way at all.. Or at least the way you are thinking. I don't like them because of the abuse... I've been hit since I was a baby pretty much... Of course I don't like them.
No freedom... That's just not normal for someone my age. Because of the lack of freedom, I don't have the best health.
It all affects me in bad ways. Ways such as mental and physical health. -

FYI, this is primarily a US website. But in the US, emancipation is granted NOT on the reasons you have for wanting to leave home, but on your proven ability to support yourself financially.
And only two US states will even consider emancipating a 15 year old under any circumstances whatsoever. -

I have never heard of any child being emancipated because that child felt their parents were too strict.
Let me add one other point... if the "too strict" is about this person you really want to date but your parents say no, you are wasting all of our time.
