    Rights of Being Emancipated
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Oklahoma
I am a 15 year old and I was wondering if getting emancipated would allow me to do things that 18 year old people are allowed to do like smoke cigarettes? Any answers we be appreciated, but please no moral mumbo jumbo.

    Thank you.

No, it would not. Age-based laws such as voting, tobacco and alcohol would still be in effect.

Additionally, in your state the ONLY right that an emancipated minor has, that a non-emancipated minor has not, is the right to sign contracts.

One also has to convince a court that one is mature enough.

No judge, in any jurisdiction, will emancipate you so that you can smoke... or drink or... well... anything.

No mumbo jumbo? Fine. That is the stupidest reason yet for anyone to ask to be emancipated.
