Sole Custody

well yes father is to pick her up on saturday i just recently got the papers that she had to be returned i didnt know untill i receieved a voicemail from the judge then i returned the call updated my address with them...when his assistant told me i was ordered to return my daughter to her father i didnt know what to do i asked him he said i ca write a letter to the judge as long as i also send it to the father so i did...i kept calling to see if he had received the letter.....thats when his assistant told me i have a hearing in 2 weeks

may i ask u are you an attorney and what kind?

No I'm not an attorney.

There are attorneys who post here, there are other court employees and there are regular laypeople (like me) who've had extensive experience with family law.

All you can do at this point (and have you tried Legal Aid? your state Bar Association for a referral?) is make darned sure you attend that hearing in two weeks.

No ifs, ands or buts - you MUST attend that hearing.

I hate to be blunt, but you may well find that if you want to keep custody of your daughter, you'll have to move back and find work there.

i was looking for work for a year after i was laid off my job my life situations were really bad since i moved here everything has been goin really good besides this..i dont see why the judge would say no to me im avery good mother and can prove it i have been with my kids since the day they were born unlike their father everything my kids have and accomplished have been because of me not their father......well thank you for your help..hopefully the judge will see that its in best interest for the baby not to take her apart from all she has known..and i sure will make it to that hearing.. PERSONALLY BE THERE.
