Expungment of a Conviction From Another State.
I was convicted of Felony criminal mischief in Florida in 2002 as part of a plea bargain. My Lawyer at the time told me I would be able to expunge the charge. Shortly after my probation was finished however I moved to Oregon. I am simply wondering if Living in another state is going to cause any issues with expunging my record. I know I will need to obtain another copy of my record for the expungment and am unsure if that will be difficult from another state as well.

    Expungement of Criminal Offense
You must petition for expungement in the jurisdiction where the conviction occurred. (Is that what you were asking?)

No, I knew I'd have to petition for it in florida, I am just wondering(I guess) if such a thing can be done through the mail or through a lawyer here, or if I have to go back to florida to petition for it.

    Florida Expungement
If you hire a lawyer, you would need a lawyer who is licensed in Florida. You will likely need to attend at least one court hearing.
