What's On My Record After Getting Caught Shoplifting
A few months back, I was caught shoplifting. The police came, and the store decided not to press charges, they just banned me from the store, i paid the civil demand and I was handed over a ticket for trespassing ($70). The police gave me a short lecture about not ruining my life because i had a clean record and was going to apply to teacher's college. THey wrote down my information though. They left. I left. Now, a few months later, and i'm panicking over my record. I'm trying to find information online specific to my problem but most people were handed over a summons to go to court. I wasn't. No fingerprints, not mug shot, no police station, just a ticket. What will show up on my record? Will i have any problems travelling? getting a job? Please and thanks!
p.s. i know this is specific to america, but I'm from toronto, canada.

If this was the us you won't have an arrest or conviction on your record, just civil ticket. It probably shouldn't show unless someone ran a real deep background check. Just don't be stupid again and you should be fine. This forum is more international and I see people from Canada post on it,so it may provide you with better info.
