    International Student Filing for Tax
Hi, I'm currently on F-1 Visa. In the Spring semester 2008, I worked on campus for a semester. I got a SSN number and was on legal employment at school. But after that semester, I moved away and didn't pay any attention about getting my W-2 form from my employer because I didn't think we need to pay tax or even file for it until this year. So now it's been 2 years and I didn't even file for tax that year, I'm just so worried that I'm in trouble because of it:(. Now I know that we do need to file for tax, can somebody please tell me what are the right steps for us to do that? Like what forms do I need to have and how to get another W-2 form? I'm just so worried, please advise. Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate any answers and help, thanks again.

You can get the tax forms on the IRS website. Similarly for whatever state is involved. Contact your employer to see if they can provide you with a copy of your W2. Then complete and file your taxes, along with any late fees and penalties you've accrued.
