I see.
It's bad enough so that you just HAVE to leave no matter what, but not bad enough for your brothers to go into foster care.
(this is so tragically common, isn't it? :( )

You missed the meaning.
You are terribly mistreated. Your siblings are terribly mistreated.
But unless you can live on your own, you will just put up with it.
That, right there, tells us more than you know about your true situation.
Kids that are being terribly abused want to live ANYWHERE else than where they are living.
The simple fact that if you can't have it your way you will just stay tells us you really don't have a shot.

I think you missed the point.
But, if BOTH of your parents agree that you can go and live with your cousin, then you can go and live with your cousin.
But aren't you concerned about your siblings being abused?
Re: Emancipating in Louisiana
my siblings arent. only me
my moms bf just throws the occasional thing at them then breaks down apologizing
Re: Emancipating in Louisiana
So, what makes you think your brothers would be put into foster care if nothing is happening to them?
You're grasping at straws, kid.
Here is the bottom line.
You have three choices. 1.) You can stay where you are. 2.) You can ASK your parents if you may live with your cousin. 3.) You can call CPS.
What you cannot do, is be emancipated.
Re: Emancipating in Louisiana
okay i can deal with that
