Re: A Friend Needs to be Emancipated
Yes I understand, I'm just not sure she does. And I never said she's not a candidate, I'm just telling her story. I'm a messenger person here. I tell her what you folks are telling me, and she tells me what to post. In a way, she's a bit ashamed to post herself. I'm just trying to help my friend turn her life around. She's a bit suicidal and I'm doing the best I can to help her. Sorry if I sound upset, I'm worried about her.

Sorry, I don't do requests.
If your friend is suicidal, why haven't you called someone?

Oh Unka Jeffy, you know the answer to that one...
Re: A Friend Needs to be Emancipated
What in the seven blazing Hells is it with these kids who think they get to decide whether anyone else gets to post or not?
No, kid. Just no. You don't get to decide that.

If you haven't connected her with 1-800-SUICIDE, then you haven't done diddly-boo to help her.
Be a real friend. Point her to help, not a fairy-tale.
Re: A Friend Needs to be Emancipated
I realize you didn't say she's not a candidate for emancipation. We did.
Your friend is not going to be emancipated no matter how much she wants to be. She can take the answer from us, or she can take it from an attorney. Her choice. But that is the answer all the same.
She is not helping herself by claiming to be suicidal. If emancipation WERE an option, which it is not, she would have just killed her chance at it by making that claim. Under no circumstances, in any state, will any judge emancipate a suicidal teen.
If you believe she truly is suicidal, then stop wasting time here posting questions you've already been given the answer to, and get her some real help. The fact that you have not done so, suggests that claiming to be suicidal is more of a manipulation on her part trying to get an answer she likes better.
