I want to drop a harassment charge against my husband. Do we have to go to court and explain? Will me dropping the charge keep the charge off of a criminal record for him? Will there be any record of this happening if someone performs a criminal background check on my husband? He has not received a court date yet, I called the police station & they said we have to go before the judge to drop the charges and explain what happend. Is this right?
