Violation of Probation for a Traffic (Misdemeanor) Offense
My question involves traffic court in the State of: Georgia (Walton Co.)
OK... I got pulled over for running/rolling a stop sign on a back road, I got a ticket and was told I must appear in court because is was under 21. So long story short I went to court and was put on probation because everyone under 21 who received a traffic ticket in that town(Loganville Ga, Walton County Judge Brownlow) would go on probation(and have to take and pay for drug tests, defensive driving, write an essay, and attend a teen impact panel seminar where parents who lost someone spoke). By successfully completing the probation program(12months that could be finished in 3 if you did everything) then the traffic ticket will be removed from your record. In court the judge said its not really probation, so when someone asks if youve been on probation you can answer no. But anyways i passed the first drug test but failed the second one for marijuana. So i got a letter in the mail saying i violated probation and had to go back to court. So I went to court and the judge sentenced me to thirty days in the county jail. I have no criminal record or any previous traffic tickets, no school disipline record either. but something happened and i stayed in jail for 5 days and was released. I was supposed to get 12 more months of probation after i got out of jail but i called the probation officer and she said i was good to go and i didnt have anything else to do. i kno the traffic ticket is on my record but my question is what would be on my criminal record and do i tell possible employers about what happened. or how can i get look at my own criminal records. Also how long would this stay on my record?
    Thanks A lot

You can look up the code section under which you were convicted here; you can check your criminal record for a modest fee here.

If you are convicted of a crime, including a misdemeanor, that can be expected to result in a criminal record reflecting the conviction.

    ok thanks
ive been reading and is it true that if a judge revokes your probation, then cant he or she give you the maximum penalty for what you got on probation in the first place?(in my case the stop sign violation).
