    17 year-old female dating a 21 year-old male in Michigan
    i am a 17 yr old female who is seeing a 21 yr old male and was wondering if he can get into trouble. i live in the state of michigan and in michigan a 17 yr old is considered an adult....would he get into trouble if i were to move in with him?

    You're still a minor, so if you run away from home and move in with somebody else, they could conceivably get in trouble for "harboring a runaway" or some similar offense. He may even have a legal duty to contact the authorities or your parents to inform them of your location. If you do run away, make sure that your parents know where you are - don't ask your boyfriend to lie about your location or try to hide you from them.

    i called the court house that deals with these kind of things, and the one women was in a hurry but basically said that if i were to move out the authorities couldn't make me move back in but they would advise me to call my father and step mother to let them know that i am ok....it's not that i hate my parents and i'm not just being the rebellous teenager who wants everything to go her way, i am just sick and tired of being treated like i'm living in jail.....but thank you for everything
