    Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

hi, im sorry this might sound stupid but ive got a minor misdemeanor charge on my hands and im not sure what to do. ive got a couple questions that i would greatly appreciate if someone answered.

so, im a college student at a private university in ohio, and i went out partying the other night. at some point in the party i stepped into the alleyway beside the house to pee, as seeral others were doing as well, since the house had one bathroom and was incredibly crowded. a cop pulled up as i was peeing and yelled something at me, but the music coming from inside was pretty loud so i didnt hear him. as i tried to go back inside, i was tackled and handcuffed and thrown in the back of a cop car. they gave me a minor misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct, alchohal consumption (i admitted to having a few drnks but wasnt breathylized), and resisting arrest (for "walking away") now ive got to go to court next week and im wondering what can happen. i havent told my parents and dont plan to, so im without the help of any kind of lawyer. i know already what kind of penalties are associated with a minor misdemeanor, but i have a few questions.

    1. this cant become more severe when i'm in court can it? like, am i in danger of this becoming a fourth or fifth degree misdemeanor? can that happen?

    2. is it true that this doesnt go on a criminal record?

    3. is there any way for me to talk my way out of this?

    Re: Minor Misdemeanor
Are you sure of the charges?? Resisting arrest, at it's lowest classification under state law is NOT a Minor Misdemeanor, but a Misdemeanor of the 2nd degree. Therefore no comparable municipal ordinance can have it at as an MM.
