Skipping state
I left the state of Michigan while on probation 22 years ago and never returned. And there is still a warrent for my arrest. I would really like to return to MI and take care of this problem. Does anyone know what I might be facing in terms of jail time if any?
The original charge was larceny, centenced to 3 months jail 5 yrs probation. Never been in trou.ble again

Consider retaining a lawyer in the county where the conviction occurred, to try to negotiate a resolution of the charge in the event that you return and turn yourself in. You are still subject to being resentenced on the original charge due to the probation violation.

My fiancee did the same thing a year ago. However he did turn himself in. He was re-arrested and sent back to the original state. His sentencing case was also 20 years old. He was given 15 months with 6 months good time. They will not parole him because they say he can not be supervised. My fiancee did not fight anything. I think if you go back voluntarily with an attorney and you know who to pray you could go better.
