Expunge Domestic Violence/Restraining Order Charge
My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Florida.
An ex-girlfriend tried to file a restraining order on me a few years ago because we lived in the same dorm, and she wanted me to keep my distance. The order was never granted because she admitted to the judge that I had never threatened nor committed violence. Recently, I moved into a new condominium, and the association asked me at my interview about a domestic violence charge. I was, understandably, very upset that this came up despite being a charge not a conviction (I had no idea it would be on my "record"). My concern is that I am on track to be a teacher, most likely a high school teacher, in the near future, and I do not want this blemish on my record to hurt my job search. Will it? What can I do to remove it/clear my name to avoid complications?

As there was no conviction (did you even know there was a charge?), you should be eligible for an expungement.
