Changing Children's Name to Mother's Maiden Name
My question involves name change laws in the State of: Minnesota

It will soon be 2 yrs. since my divorce. I have recently decided I would like to take my maiden name back. I have 2 children (and sole custody), they live with me full time as their father lives in Utah.

When they heard I was wanting to go back to my maiden name they asked if they could take it as well. Stating that, "my family is better people then their dads, and they's rather be associated with better people". I'll admit, I was taken a bit aback by this; but told them if this is what they want, then I will look into it.

Is it possible to do this in MN, and how would I go about getting it done if it is possible? (Also, what steps do I take myself to get my maiden name back)?

If you want to change your children's name, you start by asking dad's permission. If you don't get it, it will be an uphill battle. You would have to go to court and prove that it's in your children's best interest.

For your own name, read this.
