the way this whole thing went down, im not so sure if they are idiots or scammers because I just spoke to a friend of mine who works there still, he told me I was susposed to be layed off right after inventory (the day I got terminated was a day after inventory) and sure enough he looked at the unprinted schedule for the next 2 weeks and I was NEVER on it to begin with. this was a setup.
It sounds to me like your company may challenge your attempt to collect U.I. benefits. You insist that your company has an ( established ) policy, including termination, for committing the " violation " that you described. If so, you may be out of luck on U.I. benefits for this misconduct. No matter how ridiculous the policy, if it's buried somewhere in your employee handbook or any on-line HR webpage, including updated policies, you are responsible for knowing it and your company can enforce it. I'd still fight it as an unreasonable policy.
Good luck !
Re: Employer ID Number Required
I figured intead of starting a new thread I'd just ask in here so here goes.
you all read the story of how I got fired, how (as we thought) they are fighting me on UI, since you all know the background of what went down, any ideas on what to say on this "phone interview" any thoughts or help would be great.
Thank you all very much
