How Does a Legal Separation Work
I am not familiar with this, so I hope the kind people here will be understanding.
I have been married for almost 4 years. This is my 3rd marriage and my husband's first. We have had sexual relations once in the time we have been married. I feel like I am married to my brother. It really has taken its toll on me emotionally. I managed to talk my husband into counseling, but after a few sessions where he just stared at the ceiling and made it plain and clear he had no intention of opening up, I gave up. He refuses to talk to me about it and I am on the verge of leaving him. I have been fighting workman's comp for over 6 years and my case might be coming to an end after all. I go to court in 2 days. I won't be getting a whole lot of money, but it might be enough for me to start all over again. I have friends who have told me I can get half of the house we live in and own, but I do not want to do this to my husband. He is a good person with a big heart.
I do not know what I can do legally. I would like to find out more about legal separation, as I need the medical insurance I have through my husband's place of employment.
Can anyone give me any suggestions or words of advice>?
    thank you, Michele

You need to be careful about separation - sometimes a health insurance policy will include language which terminates coverage for a spouse after separation. You should consider discussing your situation with a divorce financial planner.
