Getting a Tourist Visa After Deportation
I was deported from the US almost eleven years ago for possesion of a controlled substance and deported again for reentry.I do remember that the judge said that if I re-enter again he would sentence me to 5 years in fed jail. I have been in this country since 1999. can I begin the procces to solicit a turist visa?

Assuming it's a typo and you're currently NOT in the US, you may have a chance at obtaining a tourist visa (though not likely). How long were you barred from re-entry? Was it permanently?
Re: Getting a Tourist Visa After Deportation
No question it was a lifetime bar. If you enter illegally after deportation and are caught, that's what happens.
Given the facts you have shared, I would not expect you to get a tourist visa, or any other type of visa.
Re: Getting a Tourist Visa After Deportation
I recall the judge saying that I could apply after 10 years but it was such a long time ago and I was really sad that this had occurred to me i really dont remember. And yes I 'm not in the us I'm in the country I was deported to.
Re: Getting a Tourist Visa After Deportation
Overlapping bars against reentry: The ten year bar results from your being deported. The lifetime bar results from your illegal entry following your prior deportation.
