Running Away or Getting Kicked Out
I have a friend in virginia who daughter took off in virginia roughly two months ago,he found a letter from her stateing she has left and was tired of being treated like she was a nobody, and everyone believes her sister, then her,and tired of being left out,and her sister gets everything.and if she wants to be found she will let them know in time where she is at.I know I was there when this happen.so the police was called, not only did the local police show up also the sheriff office showed up as well who deals with juveniles, and also a social worker.
my friend show them the letter, and law enforcement, and social services ask some question's.they told my friend that nothing can be done about it.if they make her come home she will just leave again, and they are not going to waste thier time on her since she will be 18 in 7 months.they also said that the virginia juvenile court will tell him the same thing.so I am saying what they have have told us,and the three main steps that virginia has in the laws on the juvnile's at age 17.

while on this subject, can a parent kick out a 17 year old in virginia.the girl went to the police department, but took her home and question the parent, the mother claim she did'nt she no such thing.she also told social services the same thing.and made the girl look like a lier.but we know for a fact that the girl did'nt lie.we know the mother and she does lie alot to protect herself, even her mother will lie for her.what can the 17 year old do now,she has took off again, cause her mom kicked her out,she will not go to the police again, cause they will belieave the mom again, when she lies.need some advice on this asap.

You're claiming to be an experienced Virginia lawyer, who pretends to be an authority on these issues, and yet you're posting this question to us? How, er, flattering....

If your friend's mom says to the police and social workers involved, "I didn't throw her out," then she's not thrown out - she can go home at any time. Given that you told us that your friend "took off" and even wrote a note that she was running away of her own accord, odds are mom was telling the truth.
