I Want To Move Out of My Father's House
im 15 and i will be 16 in a couple months. my mom kicked me out a couple years ago and i have been living with my father. my dad has a girlfriend and new kids. sometimes he yells at me when i eat things in the house, he says there for his gf's kids. they are 4 and 5. one of them cant eat milk. so they buy special things for her. my boyfriend and me are always constantly together. i found a couple jobs and im able to work and provide for myself. my mother and father seperated a couple years ago and when they divorced i took care of all my brothers and sisters. i have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and i am the oldest of them all. i cooked dinner i cleaned i did everything. i had no time for a normal childhood like everyone else is. this isnt a sob story to make you feel bad for me. i need advice on how to get emancipated. my dad just kicked me out of the house, he is a drunk and kicks me out 5 times a month. i am programmed in the state of ohio because my father kicked me out and registered me as a runaway. i can take care of myself, im doing a good job at it now. i buy my own clothes, my school supplies. im very independent and able to do things on my own with a some help from my boyfriend. is there anyway that i can get out of my lifestyle legally and for good?

Laws are different in each state. Read the threads stickied at the top of the forum.
A theoretical job is not going to get you emancipated in any state - you need to have the actual ability to support yourself.
Re: I Want To Move Out of My Father's House
In Ohio there are only two ways for a minor to be emancipated. One is through legal marriage; the other is membership in the active armed forces. Both require parental permission, and if either ends prior to the minor's 18th birthday, emancipation is automatically revoked and the minor returns to the care, custody and control of his or her parents.
