    Massachusetts Emancipation
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: massachusettes.
My name Kyle DeBord and i live with my mohter and her soon to be husband she divorced my dad in NC about 2 1/2 years ago. i am 16 years old and i live with my broter my mother my soon to be step father and step brother and step sister. Im turning 17 next year. I now live in mas. My mother moved all the way up here in under 2 months with her fiance and snathced me with her. i did not even get to chose who i wanted t live with because she took everything from my dad but the house that he had to pull the mortgage twice in one year. He has lossed the house i grew up in for 16 years. Me and my mother fight constantly but evrytime i try to talk to her she always bring up the story that sh had it worse than me because she was an orphan along with 2 if her sisters and children. Yes, i will agree with her on this but its not the same situation. I can hold down a job and so far i have my permit in the state of massachusettes. I make better than average grades. I would like to move back to NC with my father. Bt there is another reason why. Ive been dating a girl for 4 years this jan. 16. i love her with all my heart she is 17. when i turn 18 i am going to prupose to her. I recently went and visited her along with my father for christmas and i have decided that i no longer would like to live with my Mother, Brother, Sister in law, and soon to be Step-father, brother, and sister. also i have a job waiting for me in NC if i move back down there. Please help me ive kept this inside of me for 2 years and i can no longer live here i have become clinicly depressed and the only time i seem happy is when im with my babygirl and my father. I DO NOT plan on dropping out of school im going to finish and go to either ECU or COA. local colleges in NC. Please help me and thank you for spending your time to help a child in emotional pain.

If your parents agree, you can go live with your dad. ONLY if your parents agree.

You have posted nothing to suggest that you qualify to be emancipated. Emancipation is not granted because you miss your girlfriend and it is not granted because you would rather live with the other parent. MA statute for emancipation is very limited and nothing you have posted suggests that you qualify.

    Kid, really.

If you want to be taken seriously, learn to write a sentence, spell properly (including the name of your friggin STATE) and leave out 9/10ths of the included drama.

you can't be emancipated because you didn't want to move. You can't be emancipated because you are too far away from your crush.

    You lose.
