1110a Ticket in NYC
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New York
I'm a NJ license driver and rarely enters side street of New York City Chinatown area but last week when I was driving on Grand St. and made a right turn on Bowery St. a cop was standing there to give out ticket for no right turn. At the end, I received 2 tickets, 1 for disobey traffic device (1110a) and an expired registration (later I realized I gave him a wrong car registration which he didn't even check).
Anyway, I'm looking at the ticket today and realized he put my last name in the first name column and first name in last name column. When I tried to go online I can't find my tickets. These tickets was written on Sunday November 29th (9 days ago)
Question is, are these tickets void with wrong information or should I try to contact NYS traffic department about this?

Re: 1110a Ticket in NYC
A minor clerical error won't void a ticket. You still need to defend yourself. In many jurisdictions you can get the registration ticket dismissed upon submission of proof that you were in fact registered at the time of the charge.

Thank you for the prompt response on this Mr. Knowitall, I figured I won't get off this easy since money is what the city want at the end, they will get it from you.

I got pulled over for the same violation, same 2 tickets, and ended up paying for one. $120 plus 2 points. Good luck.
