    Aggravated Assualt/ Malicious Wounding
My boyfiend was invovled in a fight last fall at our university. His brother was found beaten up in alley and some of his friends had called him to tell him about it. He was overwhelmed with anger and went back to the kids house that had beat up his brother, and beat the kid up...very bad. 9 months later he has a warrant out for his arrest.

What is the worst that can happen? What should he do? I have had severe depression lately because of this, my grades are dropping from almost a 4.0 to a B average. All i want to do is stay in my apartment! Please someone let me know how serious these charges are, and can they be reduced?

    Thanks!

    Criminal Charges from Aggravated Battery
It is possible that your boyfriend will be offered a plea bargain deal, which would result in a reduced charge, reduced sentence, or both.

He should consult a criminal defense lawyer.

A plea bargain is an offer the prosecutor makes to the defendant to entice a guilty plea.

There's not really any functional difference, insofar as your boyfriend is concerned. A warrant is a court order permitting the arrest of an individual. A bench warrant is the same, but usually refers to an order issued for conduct in relation to particular court hearings or proceedings (e.g., failure to appear, contempt of court, etc.)
