Wanto to return home, but on bench with no pay-slips
I am in miserable condition and seek your help and advice.

I came in US on h1-b in Oct 05. My employers which is an consulting company was not able to find me any job till date (apr 2006)..so i am on bench and i have no pay-slips either.

I have finally decided to go back to my home country...but i want to make sure that I dont want any legal issues after i leave US...i want to leave out cleanly..how should i proceed? What all documents and formalities are required from my current employer(they dont have any of my original documents)?

Also will I face problem in finding new job in my home country, coz again i wont be having any pay-slips to prove.

Any help appreciated. Thanks a ton!!

If you're not employed as required by your H-1B visa, you are not eligible to stay in the U.S., so you do have a sticky situation. You should consider consulting an immigration lawyer to try to straighten things out. Perhaps you will be able, for example, to transfer your visa to a different employer who will actually employ you. It sounds like your employer, also, is violating immigration laws - employers have certain duties in relation to H-1B workers they bring into the U.S.
