There are statements between the Tenants concerning how rent is split.
Are these statements in writing?

The past payment history is evidence of your understanding.
Why don't they seek a new roommate?
Re: Splitting Rent Equally
The statements are in writing. E-mail, rather. The other roommates searched for a bit over 3 months without any results. I figured that paying utilities was making it too easy on them. I can only assume they were taking advantage of having a house occupied by 3 instead of 4. I contacted the landlord and explained the situation. I am waiting to hear back from him. At this point I am considering subletting the room for less then what I pay and making up the difference. Thank you for your responses. I appreciate the help.
Re: Splitting Rent Equally
It's a little bit of both. You have a copy of the rent that you did pay and that is confirmed in the emails.
You need to have yourself taken off the lease if possible. Try to make an arrangement with the landlord. If they are amenable to it, get in writing how much your room was so you know how much to charge your subletter if you are allowed to get one and to inform the LL what is going on.
They should not have the ability to change the agreement, but when you all sign a lease together, you are all responsible for the total amount of the rent. Didn't the LL question why everyone was all of a sudden paying different amounts than they were previously?
