    Runaway law in North Carolina
At what age is a minor not considered a runway in North Carolina? And if considered a runaway, what are the possible cosequences involved for the runner and for anyone who might be directly involved? Unfortunately emancipation is not an option.
    Thanks...difficulty locating for myself

    Mr. Knowitall
The age of majority in North Carolina is 18. Possible consequences for running away include placement in a youth facility; possible consequences for hiding a runaway from the police or her parents include criminal prosecution. If you need advice about the consequences of running away, or of harboring a runaway, consult a lawyer.
