Red Light Ticket
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New York
So Saturday night 10/24/09, I was was pulled over for my first ever moving violation. I had previously gotten a cell phone ticket on Thursday, 10/22, which was my first time EVER being pulled over! My boss is paying for that one because I didn't want to answer the phone but I was getting threatening text messages from my coworkers and boss.
It's been a stressful week, needless to say.
So, here's what happened. It was rainy and there were leaves all over the road. A traffic light was turning yellow and I almost lost control of my car and went through the light. Of course, a police officer saw me and gave me a ticket. I got a ticket for that, and for not having an updated insurance card (although I am insured.) I didn't realize I got two tickets until this afternoon. The officer had said to pleade not guilty to the insurance card one, and he will knock it down to a parking ticket...but I thought he was referring to the red light one because I was under the impression I only had gotten one ticket. I don't know what to do. Should I plead guilty or not guilty? I'm freaking out! I've never done this or been in this situation so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Red Light Ticket
Did you go through a yellow light or a red light?
I personally would try to get the red light ticket reduced or dismissed, whether by talking to the prosecutor or by hiring a lawyer to do so.
