Collectible Guns
My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: California
My sister is administering our brother's estate and has received a gun collection that was taken as evidence after our brother's death. The guns were distributed several years ago during the administration of our mother's estate. My guns and the guns of my other brother were kept at my deceased brother's home in the gun case my Dad built. My sis has listed all the guns as assets in the inventory filing and is aware some of the guns did not belong to our deceased brother. What form can I file with the court to let them know these guns are not part of the estate and should be returned to my brother and I?

Re: Collectible Guns
Believe it or not, there's not a form for every single need and occasion.
If everybody's in agreement that certain firearms are not part of your brother's estate, but were merely in his possession, I don't see why your sister can't notify the heirs that the items aren't in the estate and then, assuming no objection is made, get the court to authorize their return.
