Emancipation at Age 17 in Texas
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Texas

I am six months from turning 18 and am having major family issues which are causing me great amounts of mental and physical stress at my house where i live with my mom and step dad, who never adopted me. My biological father lives in Ukraine. I have been working since i was fourteen years old and my most recent job is at Dairy Queen where i have been for 6 months making 800-1000 dollars a month.

I have done some research as far as emancipation goes but i have a few questions about the process. How do i find the paper work i need to fill out and if my mom signs it do i still have to appear before a judge and present my case? If indeed i do have to appear in court will my mom have to accompany me? I have been living at home and i noticed on one of the items for qualification for emancipation it stated must be living outside of your parents house, however, i have not been able to do so because i would be reported as a run away.

Finally, possibly the two main and most important questions i have, with the information provided (can provide more if needed) what are the chances of a judge allowing me to get emancipated? Also, how long does it usually take for everything to be made official?

Thank you very much for your help in advance if more information is needed please let me know in a reply and i am more than willing to exchange emails.

Read this. At 17 you don't need to be living on your own, but you must be self-supporting and managing your own affairs. If you don't meet the qualifications for emancipation, it won't be granted.
