Can I Sue My Roommate or Count It As a Lost
My question involves a roommate in the State of: Maryland
The roommate that i had told myself and the rental office that she was moving out in the middle of a month which left me with 2 weeks to come up with the next months rent plus the half she didnt pay. I moved out and gave notice to the apartment complex and my roommate. We were told if we turned over or keys there would be no consequences but she did not do so and stayed at the apartment for 2 months after.

Do I have the right to sue her for the money that the rental company is coming after me for?

    If so:
Should I file the suit before or after the case with the rental company?

Was she on the lease? If so, I would file a cross-complaint against her as part of the lawsuit brought by the rental company.

But if she's on the lease, why didn't they name her in the lawsuit?
