    Domestic Abuse Assault Simple Misdemeanor
The other night my girlfriend, whom I reside with, and I got into a drunk scuffle. She intentionally called the cops to make me go to jail using a bite mark that was from us playing in bed from a few days ago. I have scratch marks all over my face and bite marks on my arm from trying to restrain her from attacking. The cops came and saw me as the agressor by her lies and her one mark. She is now telling my friends that she is lifting the no contact order and wants this all to go away.
My question is how do I clear up my end without getting her in trouble. I want to plead not guilty, but will this get her in trouble if she has to go to court and tell the truth. Will the case be dropped if she doesn't recieve the subpeona and not show up? What should I do to avoid this unneccassary jail time and fines?

    Assault causing bodily injury/family violence
My question is my husband and I had an altercation. I was cratched by him, my neighbor called the cops. They came and he was arrested, but I continued to tell them that I didnt want to press charges. they stated that even though I dont press charges it will still be picked up by the state. He is a 3 time felony but this is his first time with this particular charge. Please tell me what will most likely happen to him, and what is his possible bond and time in jail?

In many states a first offense domestic violence charge can be resolved by a deferral. When somebody has three prior felonies that's unlikely.

It's good form to follow the instruction to identify your state, follow the instruction not to reply to your own post, and to refrain from posting your new question to somebody else's thread.
