Leaving the State While on Probation
My question involves criminal law for the state of: GA
I left the state of GA while on probation without permission because my ex husband was threatening to "eliminate me".
I now have a warrant out for leaving the state - is it a felony warrant or misdemenaor? My PO said it was a technicality - the original charge was a felony for a bad check.
I also found out I have a warrant for not paying a judgement - Is it a civil warrant? Do I have to appear in court for it or can I just pay it?
What are the chances of them coming to my house to arrest me in my new state?

You really need to retain counsel to negotiate terms of surrender on your behalf. While it is unlikely anyone will come to your door, you may find yourself in a heap of trouble should you find yourself pulled over for a traffic violation, involved in an auto accident, or otherwise in need of police services.
Some states also will refuse to issue/renew your drivers license if you have a warrant outstanding.
