Shoplifting in New Jersey
My question involves criminal law for the state of: NJ
I was caught shoplifting for $20 and i pleaded guilty, court asked me to pay $800 and charged with me disorderly offense and asked me not to go in that store again or else store has right to call the cops. My question is that can i go to the same store in another location within same state or i can't do that?
also when i apply for a job, i have seen questions like were u charged of any felony or pleaded guilty, do i say yes or no?
will this show up in my backgroup check for jobs.

Don't be stupid - don't test the court's patience. It is not like this store is the only chain around.
Yes you have to say you were arrested and charged with a crime if it is asked of you.
...btw... keep an eye out for the civil demand as well. Believe me, it is on the way:D

HI,
what you mean by Civil Demand? how does that work and what is it?
About the crime question, my lawyer said I can so No as this was not a crime, and he said disorderly offense is like getting a traffic violation ticket. But i still wanted to confirm if that is true or not.
