How to Expunge a Adjudicated Felony in Texas
Hello all, I'm pretty new to this forum but I have been reading on here and researching how I could go about getting a expungement involving my case. This site (Obtaining or Expunging a Criminal Record) has helped out but has left me at a few questions :confused:.
Here are the details:
On 03/19/01 I was charged with “POSS CS PG 2 < 1G” a State Felony that had a deposition of “Order Of Community Supervision Without Adjudication Of Guilt.” I completed all of the community service and probation and was discharged on 7/28/2004.
Most if not all of my questions I have are specifically involving Texas>Denton County's Policy on expungement.
So my questions are:
- Is it possible in my case for an expungement or pardon?
- If so how much time needs to pass before I can start down the path of expunging this?
- And finally, if I was expunged and dismissed of this record would I still be disqualified from getting a security clearance or being disqualified from joining several branches of the military?
:wallbang::confused:
Thanks for any advice or help that might be offered.
-Nate

With a deferred disposition on a felony, you should be able to petition to have your record sealed after the statutory waiting period, which should now have passed. This will not affect your obligation to report the offense to the military, or change they way they treat the conviction.
