Roommates Throwing Parties With Underage Drinking
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois
I have 3 roommates, 2 of which are underage. They like to party and invite TONS of people over to drink and play loud music on a regular basis. I do not take part in the party or buy any alcohol for them but I am normally in my room when this is going on. I am pretty sure that if the police come I could get in trouble even if I am not participating or did not provide any alcohol since I am of age and my name is on the lease. I want to confront them about this but I want proof that I am right first.

What kind of proof are you looking for?
Yes, you are right, you could get in trouble for permitting this.
Perhaps someone familiar with IL law can chime in with the appropriate code section that might hold a resident or host of such an event responsible.
Personally, if these were my roommates and they were putting me at risk of jail because of their antics, I'd move. If you want to play hard ball you can always threaten to call the police the next time they have minors over and in that way you can hope to keep yourself out of trouble by reporting a crime that is occurring in your presence.
It's a tough situation to be in, but your friends either need to grow up, or you need to find a new place to live.

Re: Roommates Throwing Parties With Underage Drinking
Thanks for the response. I mostly wanted to be sure I am right about this before I talked to them.
I would move but my lease expires in August 2010 and I live in a college town where leases are August-August so finding a new place AND someone to replace me would be next to impossible.
