Getting Married in the States with Tourist Visa and Back to Chile
    Hi averyone.

I have a question. I´m a chilean engineer working in a important international company in Chile and I´m in love with an american girl who teach english here in Chile and we plan to get married in States in 4 months.

We planned this way before (a year at least) and the US Embassy in Chile said that there is not problem to go to states with my turist visa and get married and then come back to live in Chile.( I have a email to confirm this).

The problem is that we just discover that in the future years when my fiancé will start the process here in Chile to get a spouce visa they will see that I got in States, got married and leave and maybe they (US Gov) will think this as a visa fraud and maybe I will not be able to enter again to States the rest of my life.

We already have everything planned in states, the church, the reception.. is too late to hold off everything and start a fiancé visa.

One of my ideas is just get in states (again, is not my first trip) and say that
I´m going just with turist intentions, then get married by the church only (nothing by law) and then back in Chile, get married and by the chilean law and then ... years laters when we decide to live in States, start a spouce visa process for me.

The other option is to be honest in inmigration at the airport and show my contract and all the paper stuff to demostrate that I´m going to leave the country right after the wedding but I heard that could make me get a flight back to Chile the very same day and lose all the wedding ceremony and reception (by the wat very expensive)

Please, any idea is welcome. The only objective is to go to states, get married, come back to Chile right away after honemoon and live here for few years. Then inmigrate to States.

    Thanks
    Mike

I believe the US embassy is correct because your intention after the marriage is to go back to your country, not stay in the US.

If the intention is to remain in the US and become a US legal permanent resident, and you use a tourist visa to enter, then that would be fraud.
