Re: Being Accused of Credit Card Fraud, Lost
The charges being reversed would, at first blush, suggest that the credit card company has resolved the cardholder's claims in favor of the cardholder - that is, that the charges we're discussing were not authorized and should not be paid by the cardholder. That doesn't suggest to me that the credit card company or merchants involved regard the matter as closed - it suggests to me that they're probably moving forward with this as a case of credit card fraud.

It's hard to predict what is happening but if the doctors have called and the cc companies have stopped calling then it would seem that the creditors realize the complications of a mentally impaired cardholder.

How would the creditors verify anything if the main witness would be unable to testify?
